Let\u2019s be honest: United Airlines has long been the punchline of the aviation world. The airline you book when you\u2019re short on options, short on legs, and maybe short on self-worth. But somehow, in 2025, United has pulled off a miracle. A business class upgrade<\/a> so good it could make even the most loyal Qatar flyer question their frequent flyer status.<\/strong><\/p>

Rewind a few years and United\u2019s long-haul business class<\/a> was an absolute disaster. The infamous 2-2-2 layout meant awkward eye contact with strangers, no direct aisle access unless you were lucky, and the sort of privacy you\u2019d expect at a suburban bus stop.<\/p>

Then came Polaris 1.0, a big step forward with lie-flat seats and better service, but still playing catch-up. No doors, patchy consistency across the fleet, and still not a match for the likes of Emirates or ANA.<\/p>
